The Supreme Court Bench headed by CJI Surya Kant, along with Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohan, today ordered that the FIRs registered across the country against students who participated in protests between July 20 and July 25 shall not be investigated for any purpose and should be quashed. The Court also said that no new FIR should be registered against students for the protests held between July 20 and July 25.
The Court passed the order keeping the students' future in mind and acting in good faith.
